adidas has unveiled its first ever fully recyclable sneaker - the Futurecraft.Loop. The sneaker, in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans, is 100% recyclable and made with zero glue. The shoe has been launched with a stylish dedicated page on the adidas website that features some hard hitting facts on plastic waste, as well as more details on the making of the shoe. adidas has also released a short film to accompany the announce which you can see below!
The 2018 figures from the Internet Advertising Bureau / PwC Adspend Study have revealed that UK advertisers spent £13.4 billion on digital advertising in 2018. That’s a 15 percent increase on 2017, and is a big sign that marketers are very confident in the power and effectiveness of digital advertising. One of the headline facts from the study is that for the very first time the ad spend on smartphones overtook desktop. £6.9 billion was spent on smartphone ads, accounting for 51% of all media budgets. To mark Earth Day 2019, Apple shared a new ’Shot on iPhone’ film titled Don’t mess with Mother. The minute long clip, soundtracked by the mighty Megadeath, features a series of stunning nature shots from around the world, which culminates with a snake lunging for the camera. It’s most definitely worth a look below.
Staying with Earth Day, Corona partnered with Parley to create a brilliant looking short film with Academy Award nominated animator PES. The short stop motion clip features a plastic fish washed up on a beach. It illustrates the dangers of plastic pollution on marine wildlife and highlights the work the two companies are undertaking to clean up plastic form 100 islands by 2020.
